Characters exist in all kinds of content that conveys a story, and the story composed around this character is delivered through various media such as comics, animation, video game, live-performance and etc. and communicates with consumers. In addition, within the current trans-media environment, characters cross the boundaries of media like living organisms. The School of Content Convergence develops content that can cross various media centering on these and we call it meta-character.

The development of meta character should start from the planning stage of characters and stories applicable to various media and be developed by applying technology that can cross the boundaries of media. Therefore, the curriculum of The School of Content Convergence is centered on virtual production, which creates 3D characters and applies them to the real-time engine represented by Unreal Engine. Through this virtual production, it is possible to expand from the traditional media such as comics, animation and video games to VR, AR, MR and XR.

Furthermore, we have strengthened the link between schools and industries like content creator GIANTSTEP, engine developer Epic Games and K-POP entertainment group SM Entertainment and have a system in which various activities outside of the regular curriculum are linked together in line with the content consumption trend that is spreading around the community.
